We are accepting applications for a part-time or full-time local driver based in Athens. Starting pay is $20 per hour.
The work is home daily, using automatic equipment for local and short-haul dry van freight.

Home daily does not mean banker’s hours. Start times and days vary with customer freight and pickup and delivery appointments.
Part-time and full-time availability, expected days, and typical start times will be discussed during the interview.

Position Details
What we expect from a local driver.
Drive safely, protect the freight, take care of the equipment, and keep dispatch posted.
What you will do
- Operate a tractor-trailer safely for local and short-haul dry van freight.
- Complete pre-trip and post-trip inspections.
- Arrive for pickup and delivery appointments on time.
- Communicate delays, detention, equipment concerns, and delivery status.
- Protect freight and company equipment.
- Submit required paperwork and proof-of-delivery information promptly.
- Follow DOT regulations and company safety requirements.
What the position requires
- Valid Class A CDL.
- Current DOT medical certification.
- Recent, verifiable tractor-trailer experience.
- Acceptable motor vehicle record and employment history.
- Ability to pass required DOT drug testing.
- Ability to satisfy FMCSA Drug and Alcohol Clearinghouse requirements.
- Dependable communication and professional equipment care.
